The Core is the team of volunteers that has come together in order to serve the Catholic Young Adults of Regina. The Core has regular meetings to discuss and plan upcoming events, and to keep each other informed what is happening in the Catholic community of Regina. This is how the Core had developed over the past few years. While this may not be a full description, it gives an indication of the different activities the Core is involved in.

Leader - Terry
- 2 year position (minimum)
- must have a leadership position in C'YA for a minimum of 1 year
- diocesan contact and representative at diocesan meetings
- leads C'YA Core meeting and prepares agendas
- ensures that committees and those with responsibilities fulfill their responsibilities
- attends committee meetings as needed
- works with the spiritual director

Co-Leader - Vacant
- takes responsibilities of Leader when not available

Secretary - Julie
- takes minutes and sends them out the week of the Core meeting
- reads the minutes at the Core meetings

Communications Coordinator - Terry
- manages the website, e-mails, posters, advertisements in the diocese, speeches, newpaper articles, maintaining the distribution list for e-mails, storehouse of information, media contact

Spiritual Director (priest) - Fr. Gary Kuntz
- promotes the spiritual wellbeing of C'YA and the Core
- assists in planning workshops, C'YA conferences and Core retreats
- provides spiritual knowledge/education to C'YA and the Core
- assists with spiritual C’YA events (Mass, prayer meetings, etc)
- works with the Leader in the spiritual development of the Core
- other matters that C'YA would like to discuss

Finance Committee - Dawn
- Treasurer (Core)
- reports to the Core on a monthly basis and to the diocese twice a year
- manages C'YA funds in a general ledger
- organizes C'YA payments (Theology on Tap, website, gifts)
- sends receipts on a timely basis to diocesan office
- fund raising / collecting funds at events
- to be further clarified with the Archdiocese

Spiritual Committee (2 people min) - Chantal, Laura, Trudy, Anna
- includes a Spiritual Director and one Core member (min)
- organize events including: C’YA goes to Mass, annual Mass with the Archbishop, prayer meetings, and retreats
- responsible for the spiritual growth for C’YA members (retreats, camps, first Fridays, C’YA Easter Event, book study, feast day celebrations, grotto, etc)
- responsible for the spiritual growth of the Core (Core retreats, Core spiritual development)
- inform C’YA of other upcoming spiritual events (Matt’s Bible study, conferences, etc)
- vocations
- works with the Spiritual Director in setting up events for C’YA members

Outreach Committee - David, Paul, Marcel, Nathan
- two Core members and others
- Theology on Tap (ensure speaker follows the teachings of the Church)
- sports activities and other non spiritual events (mini golf, bowling, laser tag, movies, downtowners lunch, etc.), C’YA Christmas Party, rider games,

Membership / Hospitality Committee - Paul, Trudy, Chantal, Dawn
- encouraging young adults to come out to events
- managing Marian Centre events
- calling C’YA members to inform of events and to ask for help
- welcomes new members, birthdays, farewells, cards
- organizing snacks and drinks for events.
